Last week we received this Adoption Planner from All God's Children. It is full of articles about international adoption; but most importantly, it has our directions for our next big step; The Dossier. The Dossier is a group of documents we must prepare, have others prepare, and order on our behalf. Just about everything needs notarized! All directions are very specific. Our most important venture at this time will be sending in a document called the I-600A. This document goes to the US Citizenship and Immigration Service. This is the approval for our adoption and will require us to have our fingerprints taken in Chicago.
I was very nervous about all the specifics until my wonderful Case Worker; Christy, called us on Tuesday to answer all my questions and relieve my worries. Below is a workbook we need to complete. We also have 10 hours of online courses to complete as well! During this process Christy calls us every Tuesday until the Dossier is complete.
